Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow in Integrated Circuit (IC) Design to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research projects, focusing on the design, analysis, and optimization of integrated circuits. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborate with leading experts, and contribute to advancements in the field of IC design.

Responsibilities:
1.    Conduct research in integrated circuit design, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
2.    Develop and implement novel design methodologies and techniques to improve IC performance, efficiency, and reliability.
3.    Perform simulations, modeling, and analysis of IC designs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics).
4.    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other researchers, engineers, and industry partners, to achieve project goals.
5.    Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations to disseminate findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
6.    Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate students involved in related research projects.
7.    Stay updated with the latest advancements in IC design and contribute to the continuous improvement of research methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

Candidate should meet at least 4 criteria from the following list:

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on integrated circuit design.
  • Proven experience in IC design, including hands-on experience with design tools and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design principles.
  • Proficiency in using IC design and simulation tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys, HSPICE, MATLAB).
  • Experience with fabrication processes and technology nodes is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of publishing research findings.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising students or junior researchers is desirable.
  • Experience with low-power and high-speed IC design techniques.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in semiconductor devices and materials.
  • Familiarity with hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL) and FPGA prototyping.
  • Background in machine learning applications in IC design is an advantage.
