At NUS, we are at the forefront of clean energy innovation, focusing on advanced technologies for sustainable hydrogen production. We are seeking a talented and experienced Membrane Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge membrane solutions for hydrogen production and separation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize membranes for hydrogen separation, purification, and production applications.
- Conduct research on new membrane materials (e.g., polymeric, ceramic, composite) and their application in hydrogen fuel cell and electrolysis systems.
- Oversee membrane testing, characterization (SEM, XRD, FTIR, etc.), and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to scale up membrane technologies from lab to pilot and industrial scale.
- Provide technical insights into membrane degradation, durability, and efficiency improvements.
- Support cross-functional teams in the integration of membranes into hydrogen production units.
- Stay updated on the latest developments and innovations in membrane technology and hydrogen production.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related fields with a focus on membrane technology.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in membrane design and development, specifically for gas separation or hydrogen-related applications.
- Strong understanding of hydrogen production technologies such as water electrolysis, methane reforming, or fuel cells.
- Proficiency in membrane characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
