•    Thermoplastic Polymer Synthesis
•    Recycling and upcycling of plastic waste
•    Organometallic catalysts design and synthesis, as well as mechanistic investigation into their use in plastic depolymerization
•    Mentor PhD students
•    Draft grant proposals
•    Oversee lab safety

Job Requirements

•    PhD degree in chemistry, materials science and engineering, or chemical engineering. 
•    Ample research experience in polymer synthesis (particularly ATRP, RAFT and ROMP), organometallic catalysts synthesis, and mechanistic investigation into their use in plastic recycling and upcycling
•    Solid background/experience in polymer chemistry and organometallic compound designs. 
•    Excellent communication and writing skills
•    Strong publication record
•    Prior undergraduate and master students mentoring experience
