Job Description
A Research Fellow position is available in the research group of Professor Ho Ghim Wei at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).
We seek an exceptional candidate with a proven record of high-impact research at the intersection of condensed matter physics, materials science, and applied engineering.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Develop metamaterials for energy transport and advanced photonic/phononic systems.
• Investigate thermal transport, heat management, and topological materials.
• Employ advanced computational and experimental methods for thermal and energy systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including materials scientists, biochemical scientists, and electronic engineers.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and fulfill grant deliverables.
• Perform routine laboratory duties.
• Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience with material synthesis, advanced characterization tools, and laboratory instruments.
• A track record of publishing in high-impact journals related to materials science, electronic engineering, or related fields.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Open to Fixed Term Contract.
