Job Description

This job focuses on researching the forefront topics of photogating effect and low-dimensional material photodetectors based on photogating effect, aiming to address the critical issues in realizing high-performance and multifunctional photodetection. The primary responsibilities include:

1. Design and simulation of photodetectors. Understand in depth the photogating effect, design the structure of low-dimensional material photodetectors, and utilize software to simulate the electrical and photoresponse characteristics of devices. Research directions include low-dimensional material heterojunction engineering, photodetector structure design, and multifunctional photodetection, etc.

2. Fabrication and measurement of photodetectors. Conduct experiments to fabricate low-dimensional material photodetectors and establish a measurement platform to evaluate the performance of the fabricated devices. The research results should meet the project objectives and potentially provide new insights for the development of high-performance and multifunctional photodetectors.

3. Demonstration of high-performance and multifunctional photodetection. Find practical detection scenarios, and construct signal read-out circuits to demonstrate the high-performance and multifunctional photodetection capabilities of the fabricated devices. At last, prototype system designs should be developed for several representative detection scenarios.

4. Teamwork, article publication, and academic exchange. Participate in team discussions and collaborations to jointly drive project progress. Responsible for writing scientific papers and patent applications. Additionally, participate in academic conferences to exchange research findings with peers and enhance the academic influence of the team and individuals.
Given the above research objectives and work content, candidates are required to possess in-depth physical insights and interdisciplinary knowledge of semiconductor device physics, photodetection technology, photogating effect, low-dimensional materials, etc. Familiarity with micro-nano processing techniques and photodetector testing methods is also essential. Moreover, excellent teamwork skills and innovative thinking are indispensable.
