Job Description

This project aims to develop novel hygroscopic, moisture activated heating materials that can absorb moisture from ambient air and convert it into thermal energy. The goal is to create a biocompatible, safe, and effective coating that can prevent unintentional perioperative hypothermia in anesthetized patients. The work involves materials design, synthesis, characterization, and integration with clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field

• Strong background in hydrogels, hygroscopic materials, polymers, sorbents, or thermal materials

• Experience with materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, FTIR, DSC, TGA, XRD)

• Experience in exothermic or sorption driven thermal systems is an advantage

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Strong publication record and good communication skills
