The successful candidate will join Dr. Jiaobing Tu's research group ( https://www.jiaobing-tu.com/) and contribute to interdisciplinary research at the interface of protein engineering, biomaterials, and bioelectronics. The position offers opportunities to participate in international collaborations, including projects with the Institute for Protein Design (University of Washington).
Responsibilities include:
• Design and engineer proteins using modern computational and experimental approaches.
• Perform molecular cloning, recombinant protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterization.
• Conduct protein engineering, mutagenesis, and functional screening.
• Characterize protein structure and molecular interactions using biochemical and biophysical techniques.
Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Protein Engineering, Structural Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biophysics, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in recombinant protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterization.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: computational protein design, protein engineering, molecular cloning, plasmid construction, and microbial expression systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment.
