Job Description
The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department of National University of Singapore (NUS) is in search of candidate for a research fellow position to assist in ‘Hybrid Process Integration’. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge projects aimed at developing and optimizing novel processes for integrating different semiconductor manufacturing techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of semiconductor technology and collaborate with industry partners and academic researchers.
Responsibilities will involve:
1. Conduct research to develop and optimize heterogeneous integration for III-V transistor / co-packaged optics applications.
2. Process design and optimization: Design and optimize process flows for hybrid integration, considering factors such as device performance, yield, reliability, and cost. Utilize simulation tools and experimental techniques to evaluate and improve process performance.
3. Experimental Work: Plan and execute experiments to validate process concepts and demonstrate feasibility. Work collaboratively with technicians and engineers to fabricate semiconductor devices and test prototypes.
4. Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data and interpret results to draw conclusions and make recommendations for process improvements. Document findings in technical reports and scientific publications.

Qualifications
• Ph.D. or higher degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or its equivalent from a reputable University/Institute is preferred, or equivalent related experience.
• Candidate with experience in microelectronic research, characterisation, metrology, electrical testing, and strong in data analysis will have advantage.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation using statistical tools and software packages.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.
• Motivated and possesses effective communication skills including writing and presenting.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a diverse team.
• Open to fixed term contract.
