Job Description

The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for a Research Fellow position in Selective Separation for Sustainable Environmental Application (SEA). The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Asst Prof PAN Weiyi from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. 


This position is part of an exciting research program advancing separation technologies (i.e., membrane and electrochemical) to solve pressing environmental challenges like carbon capture and the removal of emerging contaminants.


The Research Fellow is expected to:

•    Assist in the design of and lead experimental activities within the Pan Lab at NUS.
•    Conduct novel and impactful research in the areas of Selective Separation for Sustainable Environmental Application (SEA).
•    Disseminate research findings through publications in high-quality journals and presentations at international conferences.
•    Support the supervision and mentoring of graduate students.
•    Contribute to proposal writing, teaching, and outreach activities.

Job Requirements

•    Possess a PhD in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or a closely related field.
•    Has a strong portfolio of research and publications related to selective separation technologies.
•    The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
•    Strong writing, critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
•    Experience in Machine Learning is a significant advantage. 
•    Candidates with strong backgrounds in either experimental or computational research will be preferred. 
•    Open to fixed-term contract.
