Job Description
• Establish close high-value relationships with the energy industry so as to facilitate engagement, collaboration and the development of strategic partnerships with SgEC, and to cultivate and maintain relationships with existing partners.
• Establish close high-level relationships with key government agencies, funding bodies, polytechnics and relevant industry organizations.
• Identify gaps, solicit market intelligence and analyse energy information to develop new research opportunities.
• Work closely with the consortium affiliated researchers on various focus areas.
• Deliver presentations to introduce SgEC’s capabilities and value proposition.
• Facilitate the negotiation of industrial collaborative/partnership proposals ensuring conformity with relevant policies and procedures.
• Coordinate research, development and demonstration (RD&D) programmes involving researchers with the relevant expertise, government agencies and consortium members to jointly develop proposals which align with Singapore’s needs.
• Manage the centre’s Day-to-Day operations and resources within budgetary guidelines
Qualifications
• A recognised PhD's degree in Engineering, Science, Environment or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the energy sector.
• Engaging and highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills that cultivate and grow lasting relationships both internally and externally.
• Awareness of local research landscape and developments. Good grasp of academia-industry relations and industry-relevant research.
• Knowledgeable in energy technology is highly preferred.
• Highly developed organizational and planning skills, time management skills and written/oral communications skills.
• Self-driven, target oriented and passionate about energy technology.
