Job Purpose
National Cybersecurity R&D Laboratory (NCL) is looking to hire one creative cyber security R&D engineer who has experience on handling IT/OT/IoT program development, project operations, network security infrastructure of ICS and network system. The engineer will participate in NCL’s IT/OT Cyber Exercise, help to build NCL’s ICS environment/testbed and provide technical support for NCL’s VAPT developing project.
Job Description
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based computing system and network infrastructure.
• Design, setup, configure and troubleshoot network systems.
• Setup, configure, and troubleshoot server systems with different operating systems (Windows, Ubuntu).
• Perform a regular backup of data and application systems.
• Working with other parties (e.g., vendor, provider, ...) for the deployment and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and provide technical support to the end-users and other team members.
• Analyze critical logs, investigate, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Implement and continuously update security patches for operating systems, servers and network devices to avoid security issues or attacks.
• Ongoing assessment of new threads and improvement in computing security.
• Develop and deploy monitoring system for infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability of services through regular server and network maintenance.
• Perform and participate in capacity planning, redundancy planning and execution of Disaster Recovery Plan.
Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant working experience.
- Experienced in Virtualization technologies (VMWare, VirtualBox, KVM etc.)
- Experienced in complex secured network design, VPN and WLAN implementation.
- Should have knowledge in network administration (e.g., Firewall, Router, VLAN, Switch etc.)
- Familiar with Windows and Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS, Redhat etc.)
- Able to configure secure Internet services with methods/protocol (e.g. HTTPS, SSH Tunneling, L2TP/IPsec etc.).
- Familiar with data storage systems (e.g. FreeNAS, LTO, NFS etc.) and data backup operations on multiple File Systems.
- Enthusiasm for problem-solving and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Able to write automation scripts (e.g. Bash, Python, Ansible etc.)
- Experience in private and public cloud environments (e.g., vCenter, OpenStack, AWS etc.)
- CCNA (Routing and Switching) or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with the open-source project.
- Able to write simple code in Python or Java.
