Job Purpose
The NUS Computing Horizons Office is a new strategic initiative that positions NUS as a thought leader in AI and computing. We scan global research and technology trends using advanced AI tools, translate insights into actionable strategies, and foster international research collaborations. The successful candidate will be the operational backbone of this office and will ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
Job Responsibilities
• Coordinate office operations, including meetings, reporting and follow up actions.
• Plan and deliver events such as expert workshops, roundtables and visiting scholar programs.
• Manage travel logistics, including international trips and overseas stays.
• Track budgets, process procurement, and liaise with vendors and service providers.
• Maintain high quality documentation, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
• Support onboarding of research staff and visiting scholars.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3–5 years of experience in administration, project management, computer science, or research operations
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work professionally with senior faculty and external partners
- Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required
- Proficiency with office productivity and project management tools
- Plus: Experience supporting research centres, academic programs or large grants
- Plus: Experience or a background in computer science.
- Plus: Proven track record in event management and travel coordination.
