Job Description
The AI Centre for Educational Technologies (AICET) is a research centre that is focused on developing technologies to improve learning. AICET collaborates with the Singapore Ministry of Education and the National University of Singapore on various projects to build systems that provide immediate personalised feedback to the students, providing content that adapts to their performance, and improve assessment and grading efficiency and effectiveness.
AICET is seeking a highly motivated and independent Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Our research focuses on the impact of LLM platforms / tools on university student learning, both in general and in specific disciplines. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Research: Analyse large-scale qualitative and quantitative data to investigate various aspects student learning, such as behaviour, performance, and cognition.
- Publish & Present: Draft and prepare research manuscripts for publication in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals. Present research findings at academic conferences and seminars.
- Project Management: Assist the PI with managing day-to-day research operations, project coordination, and ensuring that all data collection strictly complies with NUS research ethics and guidelines.
- Grant Writing: Assist the PI in the preparation of larger research grant proposals and funding initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Education: A PhD in Psychology, Learning Science, Education or related fields from a recognized university.
- Experience: Demonstrated track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Experience with mixed method research, learning science, education research is strongly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Organizational Skills: Meticulous time management and ability to multitask effectively.
