Job Description

The Department of Information Systems and Analytics, School of Computing is seeking a candidate for Research Fellow position.
 

The Research Fellow is required to
-    design novel machine learning models for problems arising in clinical data analysis.
-    conduct computational experiments to evaluate models with real clinical data.
-    write research manuscripts in collaboration with the PI.
 

Qualifications

The candidate should have:

• Earned or expected to earn the PhD degree soon in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related areas.
• Strong technical background in machine learning, neural networks, active learning, multi-criteria decision-making, multi-objective optimization and ranking algorithms, along with knowledge of applying them in practical settings.
• Strong publication record in top-tier machine learning and data mining conferences and/or journals.
• Proficiency in programming in python, and the use of machine learning/deep learning libraries pandas, sklearn, numpy and pytorch.
• Excellent spoken and written communication in English.
• Ability to independently lead research projects in a multi-disciplinary environment.
