We are the NUS Avant Lab, led by Prof. Jingxian Wang (https://wangwireless.com/) in the Computer Science Department of the National University of Singapore. We invite applications for the position of Post-doctoral Researcher. 

 

We pursue research and develop disruptive technology in space networks, wireless systems, and wireless sensing. We build working systems, engage with industry (e.g., Microsoft, Google Research, and Amazon), publish top-tier scientific papers, and release software for the research community. Individuals in our group publish in top academic conferences including:

•    ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) SIGCOMM (Special Interest Group on Data Communication),
•    ACM MobiCom (International Conference on Mobile Computing and Networking)
•    ACM MobiSys (International Conference on Mobile Systems, Applications, and Services)
•    USENIX (Advanced Computing Systems Association) NSDI (Symposium on Networked Systems Design and Implementation)
•    CHI (Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems)
•    ICRA (International Conference on Robotics and Automation)
•    Nature Communications

 

We seek candidates with at least three first-author publications in top-tier conferences and journals. Candidates should be able to work effectively with others in a collaborative environment. We also seek candidates excelling in deep thinking research, advanced development, and fast-paced entrepreneurial execution. Applicants should be fluent in the relevant state-of-the-art research with outstanding programming skills and demonstrate experience in experimentation and implementation.

Qualifications

  • At least three first-author publications in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Doctorate in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or expecting to receive it within six months.
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python.

 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Should be able to take initiative, but also work well as part of a team.
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.

 

The pay range for this role is SGD $90,000 - $100,000 per year. The position is for 1-2 year(s). The expected start date is around early-2026.
