Job Description
NUS, School of Computing – Research Office is seeking a highly motivated and adaptive candidate to join us in this exciting new role. The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter and a good team player who can work cross-functionally on executive matters and executing of the projects. The candidate will need to display versatility to handle ad-hoc projects as assigned and assist the Research Partnership manager in strategic planning and developing initiatives to support goals and objectives.
- Assist in monitoring deliverables, reporting and communication and work closely with faculty members / across department and external partner such as government bodies and industry to execute projects.
- Act as the primary liaison in the preparation and submission of project proposals, agreements, budget plans and reports.
- Work closely with other cross functional departments to create, develop and maintain a robust database for future research / business/ event engagement.
- Monitor expenditures and track claims for purchases, events and provide periodic updates.
- Organize and manage events, both online (webinars) and in-person, to engage with clients and partners and set-up in host locations.
- Coordinate the publicity and logistics preparation for events and source for event or project related matters such as catering, booths, supplies.
- Manage and consolidate event feedback, reports and generate insightful reports for future planning and improvement.
Qualifications
- Recognized university degree in relevant discipline
- Background in law, legal secretary certification/diploma or with experience working as a legal assistant/paralegal
- Demonstrate initiative, good interpersonal communication skills and time management skills
- Resourceful, energetic, meticulous, adaptable to change and able to multi-task
- Strong sense of customer service
- Able to maintain confidentiality and deliver under tight deadlines
- An initial employment of 2 years' contract will be offered, subject to renewal
