Job Description
- Work closely with the PI and other members of the study team to plan, design and implement research studies with a Pubic Health/Epidemiological focus. The research methodology may comprise a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Prepare and submit relevant ethics submissions for approval to conduct the studies. This will include, but not limited to, liaising with relevant ethics board all matters related to ethics submission, amendments and approvals.
- Plan and organise research studies in accordance with the approved research protocols/
- Plan and implement a participant recruitment strategy to recruit participants for the studies.
- Analyse the date collected from the studies.
- Support the write-up of the findings from the studies.
- Provide any other administrative and/or operational support (e.g. finance, budgeting, procurement) to ensure the timely completion of the studies.
- Support any other work in relation to research.
Qualifications
- At least a Masters degree in Public Health, Science, Social Science or any other discipline of relevance;
- Experience in planning and conducting Public Health/Epidemiological research will be an advantage;
- Displays good project administration and management skills;
- Able to effectively engage with people;
- Able to communicate effectively through verbal and written communications;
- Able to work effectively independently and as a team;
- Demonstrates initiative
