Job Description
Candidate will be leading the curriculum and feedback team in the Education Division of the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The candidate is to provide direction and oversight in the planning, design, development, and implementation of the NUS Medicine MBBS curriculum, to prepare our medical students to be competent, compassionate, and future-ready doctors. She/He is responsible for ensuring and improving the quality of the medical education through the collection, management, and use of student feedback data, QI/QA activities and for accreditation purposes.
Qualifications
Provide direction for and oversight over the planning and implementation of the NUS Medicine curriculum, so as to deliver teaching excellence and efficiency:
• Ensure the NUSMED curriculum are well planned and delivered.
• Ensure all updates, pilots and changes to curriculum are well integrated and evaluated.
• Ensure all theory and clinical exams are conducted successfully without error.
Provide direction for and oversight over the planning, design, development of the NUS Medicine MBBS Curriculum, so as to prepare our medical students to be competent, compassionate and future-ready doctors:
• Responsible for the curriculum enhancement review process.
• Enhancement of pedagogy and development of existing and new learning resources.
• Digital transformation to improve data collection, data management and reporting.
Provide direction and oversight to ensure and improve the quality of the medical education delivered by NUS Medicine, through the collection, management and use of student feedback data:
• Collection, management, analysis and reporting of student feedback data to support discussions and efforts for quality improvement/quality assurance (QI/QA)
• Use of feedback data to support data-driven decisions for quality improvement
• Provision of data to support assessment of educator quality, including appointments and appraisals
• Digital transformation and other continuous improvement efforts to improve feedback-related work processes and systems
Provide direction and oversight to ensure and improve the quality of the medical education delivered by NUS Medicine, through QI/QA activities and for accreditation purposes:
• Collection, management and presentation of data to demonstrate compliance with the National QI/QA Framework, including adherence to the National Standards of Basic Medical Education.
• Engagement of internal and external stakeholders to drive QI/QA efforts, including the Basic Medical Education Collaboration meeting
• Preparation of documents as needed for accreditation and recognition of the NUS Medicine MBBS degree in other countries
