Job Description

The Quantum Engineering Programme (QEP) funds research and supports ecosystem building to bring quantum technologies to solve the challenges of end-users. Its work spans quantum sensing, quantum communication and security and quantum computing. The programme was launched in 2018 by the National Research Foundation, Singapore, and is hosted by the National University of Singapore.

We seek an Assistant Manager to join the QEP Office to support activities across the programme, including communications, events and grant management. The successful candidate will be part of a small, collaborative team working in a dynamic area of deep tech. The team coordinates with research scientists, startups, government agencies and multinational companies.


Job Description

  • Work with the communications manager to research and create accessible reports about QEP projects for audiences including stakeholders, industry and youth.
  • Keep content on the QEP website up to date, making edits via a content management system.
  • Source and draft content for the QEP LinkedIn channel.
  • Work with the ecosystem builders to help plan, publicise and deliver events including academic and industry conferences.
  • Conceptualise and develop communication materials for events, such as webpages, slides, leaflets and exhibition booths.
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of a permanent exhibition of QEP research at the QEP office, including display of artefacts, images and video.
  • Handle general communications to and from the QEP office, including management of mailing list(s).
  • Support media relations for project teams and ecosystem initiatives.
  • Support the grant managers when required to (i) ensure compliance with grant T&Cs, (ii) oversee reporting to grantor and stakeholders and (iii) track progress of funded projects to ensure KPIs are met.



  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong organisational, time management and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Skills in design, photography or videography would be a bonus.
  • Good attention to detail. 
  • Adaptable and proactive problem solver.
