Assistant Manager/ Manager, Marketing & Communications

Job Description

1. Provide strategic marketing and communications support to various NUS Enterprise and/or Industry Liaison Office Programmes as assigned.

  • Engage with and establish strong rapport with key stakeholder to understand their objectives, grow content knowledge and appreciation of business issues, and stay up-to-date on their events and activities
  • Review marketing concepts and strategies; develop integrated marketing and communications strategies to support individual business objectives and overall branding
  • Improve synergies and impact of marketing effort with rest of organisation
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of each marketing campaigns through the use of analytics and surveys

2. Enhance and support NUS Enterprise-wide branding, marketing and communication efforts and reach through thoughtful and effective marketing & digital communications strategies

  • Project management for various internal and external communications, including brochures, corporate slides, digital and printed newsletters, posters, videos etc. Duties may involve media monitoring, conducting interviews and research, copywriting and editing materials, as well as vendor management/ procurement matters and monitoring of campaign performance
  • Provide strategic marketing, event, campaign and outreach direction for projects, as well as liase with key stakeholders, vendors and media
  • Ideas/ campaigns to grow outreach and strengthen brand awareness amongst different communities e.g. students, startsups, corporates.

3. Support the assigned business areas in its marketing plans and efforts

  • Work with colleagues & stakeholders to produce integrated online and offline campaigns and marketing assets/materials
  • Execution & Project Management of marketing campaigns and events ensuring timely delivery

4. Provide support for other NUS Enterprise marketing related activies and administrative duties e.g Programme/Event support, photography, collaterals development and management and administration of MarComm Resources


  • Recognised Degree with 3-8 years experience in a Marketing & Communications role
  • Excellent command of English - strong verbal, writing and editing skills are mandatory
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Strong social/digital marketing skills, and proven event and project management skills
  • Proven track record in growing reach through various offline and online marketing channels and running digital campaigns
  • Sound working knowledge of design, html, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign would be an advantage
  • Meticulous self starter and executor, with an eye for detail and able to work, learn and thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Resilient, resourceful and proven team player; able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and understand different business areas
  • An understanding or passion for entrepreneurship and start-ups would be an advantage
