Duties and Responsibilities


The selected candidate will be part of the Prospect Research team, reporting to the Director and working closely with team members who are actively engaged with prospective donors. He/she will be responsible for providing support in the following areas/functions: 

  • Proactively identify and conduct in-depth research about prospects (including relationships, philanthropic interests, giving capacity and propensity to the University) through different sources and collaborate with engagement and gift officers to identify the best means of prospect engagement. 
  • Assist with the maintenance of prospect management data to ensure, accuracy of the information being recorded and it is optimised for effective profile update and institutional reporting. This includes researching and validating data sources, entering relevant and quality data to CRM system. 
  • Preparation and presentation of insights or business reports to the internal teams and other business units, including existing or legacy tasks. 
  • Review current work processes and outsource or leverage automation for recurring tasks as much as possible to increase productivity.
  • Perform data scrubbing exercise as needed and develop a framework to meet data standards. 
  • Stay on top of philanthropic giving activities and track movement of the constituents through media monitoring. Alert engagement and gift officers on potential gift cases or any relevant news about the constituents. 
  • Assist with special projects as needed. 



  • Graduate from a recognised University; degree in Information Management or Library Management will be an advantage
  • Preferably 3-5 years of related experience. Senior candidates with proven track record will be considered too.
  • Strong learning ability
  • Ability to contextualise complex data for use by other fundraising colleagues 
  • Excellent written/communication/interpersonal skills 
  • Genuine, expansive curiosity that extends beyond the data
  • MS Office proficiency, especially in MS Excel
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Analytical mindset and enjoys researching in-depth information
