Job Description

The NUS Business School is looking for a charismatic and driven marketing and communications specialist to head the Corporate Communications office. The incumbent will lead the team and be responsible for the development of marketing, communications and content strategies including integrated channel management, internal communications, public relations, crisis and issues communications, and content development. The incumbent will also collaborate with the various offices within the School and broader NUS Communities to spearhead marketing campaigns to drive business objectives for the School.


Leadership

  • Oversee a team of 6 staff members, stabilising and strengthening the team through personal and professional guidance and development, to deliver on the NUS Business School Corporate Communications Team vision, mission, goals and objectives
  • Spearhead effective communication and collaborative efforts with both internal and external stakeholders, initiating and driving initiatives to ensure impact and progress for the School, aligned with the NUS Business School values of Excellence, Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork and Care
  • Provide effective stewardship for the NUS Business School brand

 

General Branding

  • Align and strengthen branding and marketing across the School, fostering a vibrant and cohesive ONE NUS BIZ community spirit, positioning ourselves powerfully with one voice
  • Build consensus among stakeholders to develop guidelines and templates to ensure consistency across all channels


Overseas Brand Awareness

  • Align with the programmes offices and other markets of interest to promote the NUS Business School brand
  • Strike a balance between value/volume, local/international, broadsheets/business/trade, with a particular focus on international media
  • Collaborate with the programmes offices to drive integrated campaigns towards target markets

 

Integrated Marketing

  • Strategise, design and execute the marketing and social media plans to support business objectives
  • Oversee all assets and aspects of social media, influencer and performance marketing
  • Measure effectiveness of campaigns and refine upcoming engagement strategies, and provide data that drives optimised business decisions
  • Build effective communications plan and optimisation programmes
  • Manage division budget and ensure accountability in spending


Thought Leadership Portfolio

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan
  • Oversee all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement and leads for the School and BizBeat
  • Development of editorial governance
  • Manage content hubs/publications and all supporting social channels
  • Partner with agency to track and analyse results to identify opportunities and enhance performance of content

 

Internal Communications

  • Work closely with the Dean’s office to update the community on the latest news and milestones and organise townhall meetings

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years’ of experience in marketing and communications
  • Possess experience in managing in-house teams, agencies and diverse stakeholders
  • Expertise in content marketing, digital media planning and optimisation, marketing strategy and web analytics
  • Video production capabilities are a plus
  • Good organisation, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Build relationships and work effectively with numerous departments across the School and University
  • Exceptional writing and copy-editing ability
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills, dynamic and driven
  • Strong tenacity, flexible and resourceful to clear roadblocks and maturity to manage stakeholders, external agencies and partners
