Job Description


The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS’ lifelong learning offerings in a concerted and strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university, as well as fulfil our role as a public university of Singapore, shaping the future.

Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals. All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.



About the Role


To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join SCALE-Global as a Contingent Staff


Reporting to the Manager/Senior Executive (S-G Ops), the incumbent will assist in video post-production and using e-learning development software to curate e-learning assets for SCALE’s online youth programme, and other administrative duties that need to be executed in an effective and efficient manner to support the smooth functioning of the unit.


This role is offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis. 


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The key duties and responsibilities include, but are not confined to:
•    Assist in e-learning course design on Canvas; 
•    Assist in assembling media elements within authorised e-learning tools to create instructional content;
•    Assist in ad hoc review and update of existing e-learning assets;
•    Assist in the running of winter/summer programmes and events.
•    Assist in other ad hoc projects, assigned by supervisor/HOD.


Training for authorised software will be provided. 




Academic & Professional Certification
•    At least a Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent
•    IT savvy, familiar with Adobe Creative Suite Software such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition.
•    Experience in Canvas LMS (Learning Management System) would be an added advantage. 
•    Knowledge in UX design and JavaScript would be an added advantage.

•    Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude;
•    Passion in education and keen on exploring e-learning video and content production; 
•    Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment.
