The Role
The incumbent will support the digital transformation initiatives in the School’s adoption of data analytics for decision-making and operations.
Job Description
- Partner with vendors, developers and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of analytics projects
- Partner with key stakeholders to conceptualize, design and maintain data visualization tools such as dashboards and reports for core business metrics and performance indicators to support strategic decision-making
- Augment the existing datasets/add new datasets in the Faculty Datawarehouse by creating data pipelines to source systems
- Work with stakeholders to ensure data quality by identifying and designing process improvements
- Operationalization of Data Governance within NUSMed by adhering to prevailing PDPA, NUS Data Governance, and other relevant policies through continuous engagement with all stakeholders
- Support & Grow User Community through engagement, including identifying appropriate tools and information sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information technology, Computer Sciences, Data Sciences, Systems Management, Statistics or its equivalent
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong data organisation and administrative skills.
- Ability to gather business requirements and develop actionable analytics.
- Prior experience of working with business intelligence platforms and relational databases will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated proficiency with data manipulation and analytics within an academic or healthcare setting is preferable.
- Expertise in designing and developing dashboards/data visualizations (preferably using Power BI)
- Experience in Data Engineering (e.g. data modelling, data pipeline, data architecture, ETL, Reverse ETL) will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Informatica ETL tools, SQL and SQL Server is preferable.
- A keen eye for detail and bandwidth to keep track of and monitor progress of a wide range of issues.
- Possess initiative and the ability to work under pressure/tight deadlines.
- Possess strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to operate effectively within a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
