Job Purpose

The NUS School of Computing (SOC) traces its roots back to the Nanyang University Department of Computer Science that was established in 1975. Since then, SOC has developed into one of the leading computing schools in the world, with faculty members who are both internationally recognised researchers and inspiring teachers.


Today, SOC offers undergraduate and graduate degree programmes across the full spectrum of the field of computing, including Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics and Information Security, as well as specialisations in emerging areas of importance such as artificial intelligence, fintech, blockchain, analytics and security.

Job Responsibilities

Courseware Development

  • Coordinate and support ACE CET Lecturers and SoC Faculty members in the development of new CET courses and update of learning content.
  • Manage the production of a wide range of CET learning contents, including planning and liaising with content development agencies.


Content Management

  • Curate CET learning contents and associated source files so as to facilitate rapid search, retrieval and reuse.
  • Organise all the teaching materials into nBox, course by course, version by version, to facilitate SCALE and SkillsFuture Singapore’s (SSG) audit.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure CET learning contents reflect SoC ACE’s branding and effectively engage adult learners.
  • Maintain, review and continually upgrade the CET Learning Content Management System.


Teaching Quality Management

  • Work with SCALE to conduct internal observations of the class teaching by the adult educators and produce an observation report.
  • Consolidate the teaching reports by CET course participants and share this to Head, Executive Education (EE) and ACE CET lecturers in a monthly meeting.
  • Arrange for Head EE and ACE CET Lecturers to meet up with facilitators that have less than a 4.0 rating and discuss how to improve on the teaching delivery.


Selection, Appointment and Orientation of New Adult Educators

  • Arrange for interviews and demo teach for those external trainers who would like to teach in ACE and possibly be appointed as ACE EE Fellow.
  • Process documents for the approval and appointment of ACE EE Fellow.
  • Orientate new ACE EE Fellow and external training parties on the usage of Canvas, a Learning Management System used by NUS.

Job Requirements

  • A good bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of related working experience with good understanding of course administration and government funding processes.
  • IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent coordination and organization skills, with a customer service mindset.
  • Independent multi-tasker with a keen sense of urgency.
  • Strong team player, resilient, resourceful, and works well under pressure.
