Job Description

 

Curriculum and Policies Implementation

-    Assist the respective Programme Directors in preparing the proposals for curriculum changes.
-    Lead the implementation of revamped curriculums, and new initiatives, which includes but not limited to coordinating the timetable, allocation of modules to students to ensure optimal learning and updating the relevant materials (e.g. webpage, NUS bulletin).

 

Academic Programme Management (Coursework and Research Programmes)

-    Support the admission exercise (verifying applicants’ qualifications, coordinating admission interviews and admission outcome and collection of acceptance fees from successful applicants)
-    Administrative support to student and faculty for day to day running of the programmes (preparing and coordinating the logistics of design examinations, exhibitions, overseas fieldtrips / workshops, archival of student works, course notes, module registration and timetabling scheduling, outreach, student exchange programme, scholarship, financial aid and other grant administration)  
-    Ensure timely and effective communications with stakeholders (e.g. faculty staff, students and external parties – e.g. design posters final review/ exhibition layout, preparation of design handbooks and communications (sending out emails and responding to enquiries to stakeholders)
-    To manage pre-exam preparation and post-exam processing which includes qualifying exams, Research Thesis examination, exam scheduling, printing of exam papers, post exam processing (marks checking and processing, checking of reports, exam result appeals, special consideration, academic awards and graduation matters)
-    Website updates

 

Event Management and Liaison

-    Assist with the preparation work for accreditation visits by accrediting bodies (Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects) and Visiting Committee visitations
-    Organise major events, including external examinations, workshops, industry networking sessions etc
-    External relations related events/ activities such as conferences, workshops, executive programmes
-     Other duties as assigned by Programme Director/ Deputy Heads.

 

Job Requirements

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
•    At least 5 years of relevant working experience
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills  
•    IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications, Photoshop / In-design
•    Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
