Job Description

The Assistant Manager/Manager, Public Affairs will play a key role in the College’s public communications efforts. To enhance the College’s brand reputation, the successful candidate will be the brand custodian who ensures the correct use and application of the College’s brand guidelines and produces engaging communications on the College’s initiatives across digital platforms such as the College’s website and YouTube channel.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Brand guardian who ensures that College brand is correctly applied across all marketing, promotional and external facing channels and collaterals.
  • Maintain and update the brand identity guidelines including style guides, brand guidelines and brand vision.
  • Assist in creating brand variations for internal stakeholders where needed.
  • Create templates (Photoshop, Illustrator, Powerpoint, MSWord etc) for in-house collateral where needed.

Website & photography:

  • Sourcing, writing and managing content for the College’s website and Latest@Yale-NUS news portal, including conceptualisation and uploading of content. Create and curate updated web content which adheres to house style and brand guidelines.
  • Work with subject matter experts to determine and develop new content for the website where needed.
  • Monitor and track effectiveness of website by managing website analytics.
  • Analyse the data to optimise tactical landing pages and ensure the platform achieves its outreach and marketing objectives.
  • Manage PA photo databank to ensure that visuals on the website and stock photos are current. Work with vendors to refresh stock photography where needed.
  • Manage and create content for the College’s YouTube channel, including community management and analytics.

The successful candidate will need to thrive in a fluid and dynamic environment that embraces a diversity of views and cultures.


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in marketing communications.
  • Candidates with more years of relevant working experience will be considered for the Manager position.
  • Good project management skills, able to conceptualise, lead and manage communications projects.
  • Able to work on tasks/assignments independently and against tight timelines.
  • Strong visual design experience and a good sense of aesthetics.
  • Experience in digital marketing/social media.
  • Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress.
  • Strong writing skills to drive website and editorial copy.
  • Good project management skills.
  • High competency in a second language will be an added advantage.
