Job Purpose

Be an integral part of the HR Academic Affairs team that works in close partnership with the Office of the Senior Deputy President & Provost, Faculties, Departments and HR Partners in delivering HR services to the NUS academic community for the furtherance of the University’s vision of a leading global university shaping the future. 
 

Duties / Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and administration of a full spectrum of HR functions, which includes development of academic HR policies to the support of academic talent acquisition, performance management, talent development and strategic initiatives
• Provide advice and guidance to faculty and administrators on the interpretation and application of institutional policies and practices related to academic appointments
• Data analysis and management reporting
• Administer academic scholarship/fellowship programmes and be HR Partners for the scholars 
• Other HR Partner responsibilities
• Serve as a key point of contact for external agencies
• Lead/participate in projects and performance other duties as assigned

Requirements

• University degree with 6 to 8 years of relevant HR work experience preferably in an institute of higher learning. Prior experience in faculty HR matters would be an advantage
• Resourceful and self-driven with a high degree of professional integrity
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and able to work well with people at all levels
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good team player and keen learner with a positive attitude
• Able to multi-task well with clear follow-through
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of Success Factors would be an advantage
