Job Description

You will be part of the NUS College administrative team working with the Vice Dean (Outreach) to plan and coordinate outreach activities, and implement the admissions assessment to bring in the best students for the college. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Vice Dean (Outreach) and the admissions team in duties related to the setting up, coordination and development of NUS College admissions strategy.  This would involve the review of admission data and trends.   

• Provide support for faculty members involved in the admissions exercise and provide secretariat support to the admissions committee.

• Work and liaise with internal units like Office of Admissions and faculties on admission matters

• Handle admission queries from members of the public (like potential applicants, parents, teachers etc.)

• Plan and coordinate outreach efforts to schools.  This would include liaison with external vendors, institutions / schools and internal units.

• Work with the other administrative teams in the NUS College Deanery on cross-functional and shared duties.

Qualifications

• A good university degree

• Meticulous and displaying tact and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information

• Interested in admission and outreach work

• Possess at least 5 years of work experience

• Possess basic analytics skills (trends, statistics)

• Mature and adaptive and able to interact well with all levels of stakeholders

• Organized, meticulous and able to work independently

• Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Team-player who is able to work tactfully with fellow staff members

• Enjoys interacting with faculty members and students

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
