Job Description

The Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions (CNCS) at the National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Associate. The appointment is for an initial period of one year with the possibility of renewal. The mission of CNCS is to produce policy-relevant science on nature-based climate solutions to address knowledge gaps, build capacity and deliver pragmatic solutions and innovations to inform climate policies, strategies and actions in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. 


•    Conduct literature reviews, data collection and analysis 
•    Contribute to preparing research manuscripts and reports 
•    Provide general administrative support on research-related matters 
•    Contribute to preparing research proposals and grant applications 
•    Perform other duties as necessary 


Qualifications / Discipline:
•    Master’s degree in environmental science, ecology, sustainability, geography or a related field  
•    Demonstrated research experience in a relevant area 
•    At least 2 years’ of work experience relevant to this role (preferred)
•    At least 1 publication in a peer reviewed journal (preferred) 

•    Excellent written and oral communication skills
•    Highly self-motivated and able to work independently 
•    Passionate about climate change and the environment
•    Willing to work flexible hours and take on extra duties as required
