Job Description

Job Purpose

The job incumbent will lead the team responsible for the engagement and support of educators, so as to ensure quality in the delivery of the medical curriculum. It covers relevant processes and policy development (e.g., for appointment and promotion) as well as stakeholder engagement and relationship management involving both academic and administrative staff who serve as the School's training partners. This role will also help optimise and develop processes and systems to collect, manage, analyse and report educator-related data, which are important to enable data-driven decision-making and support quality improvement/quality assurance efforts with respect to educators and teaching quality. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the appointment, reappointment and promotion of quality educators (in collaboration with the Academic Affairs Division), including policy development, planning for implementation and execution of process​
  • Oversee efforts to engage, recognise and show appreciation for educators and other training partners ​
  • Boost innovation in education to enhance student learning through the Medical Education Grand Innovation Challenge (MEGIC) and the annual NUS Medicine Educators’ Day
  • Support efforts to ensure and enhance educator quality by defining, collecting and reporting quality indicator data through dashboards, reports and other mechanisms
  • Support efforts related to faculty development and teaching support
  • Help support communication and outreach between the School and stakeholders
  • Provide on-site operational support for NUS Medicine clinical exams and other activities critical to our education mission, as well as any ad hoc duties assigned by supervisors​

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 8 years' of experience, preferably in project management, event organisation and/or communications
  • A strong team leader as well as team player
  • Meticulous while multi-tasking and working under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data analytics within an academic or healthcare setting would be preferred but not essential
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong service mindset
