Senior Executive (Facilities Management)

Short Description

This role reports to the University Campus Infrastructure, Campus Asset Management Division, Asset Enhancement section and is responsible for ensuring a well-maintained campus for the community to enjoy.

Often working behind the scenes, the Asset Enhancement section provides 24/7 maintenance support to serve the large campus community as well as drives sustainable resource management within the campus. Asset Enhancement leverages on innovative solutions, tested technologies and reliable service partners to meet stakeholder needs while managing rising costs. Regular dialogues with industry and government agencies as well as research project collaborations keep the staff in tune with best practices in sustainability, reliability and customer care.

This candidate will be stationed at the Kent Vale and Pandan Valley property.
 

Job Description

• Coordinate activities required to preserve/ enhance the physical and functional integrity of residential facilities including work authorization, inspection, emergency preparedness related requirements.
• Supervise the performance of the term contractors (facilities maintenance, cleaning, pest control etc.)
• Manage the regular setting up of rooms, external window cleaning, curtains cleaning, laundry service, and ad-hoc project works (including scheduling, risk assessment, supervision, etc.)
• Assist Kent Vale Property Manager to implement preventive and ad-hoc facilities maintenance and housekeeping programs for all building and M&E installations in compliance with statutory/ authority requirements.
• Work with the team to handle complaints, feedbacks and incidents related to facilities maintenance, cleanliness, and pest control.
• Provide feedback and assist Kent Vale team to formulate and renew standard operating procedures for routine and preventive operations relating to facilities maintenance, cleanliness and pest control.
• Support the team on apartments’ inspection, defects rectification, assets enhancement and minor improvement works.
• Assist to prepare invitation for quotations and tenders on facilities maintenance and housekeeping matters.
• Check and endorse contractors’ claims for payment.
• Attend monthly contractors’ meetings and assess contractors’ monthly performance.
• Sourcing and collation of data in preparation for the annual budgeting of funds for repairs or improvement programs.
• Escalate any critical issues for management decisions including handling of complaints and requests.
• Supervise fire safety matters and security of the estate
• Liaise with Pandan Valley tenant for any maintenance related issues.
• Any other duties as required by the Management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services or Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering 
• 3 years’ experiences in building or facilities management, and to be hands on in mitigating facilities issues
• Good written and oral communications skills
• Ability to present and write clear and concise reports/specifications 
• Good Interpersonal skills and able to multi-task and work under pressure
• Familiar with MS Office applications
• Team player
