Job Description

Recruitment, Staffing and Employment

  • Manages the recruitment process for full-time and part-time using the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce
  • Reviews resume for all candidates and interviews shortlisted candidates for employment 
  • Serves on employee selection committees' meetings
  • Processes pre-employment formalities (e.g. medical, work pass, social visit, transit accommodation and relocation, travel entry approval 
  • Ensures timely appointment of selected candidate and conduct onboarding orientation including preparation of work space and staff ID, etc
  • Keep employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in a timely manner e.g. assumption of duty date of new hires and staff ID and NUSID

Performance Management 

  • Manages the performance review process and ensure timely submission by staff, Reporting Officers
  • Prepares document and facilitate Board meeting
  • Prepares the appointment/re-appointment/promotion/salary review letters 
  •  Updates system/verify payment for timely pay-out

HR Management Systems, Planning and Support 

  • Manages the development and maintenance of the HR Information System including CHRS, Staff Intranet, HR Data Management and reporting
  • Maintains employee-related databases. Prepares and analyses reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the Faculty. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested 
  • Conducts periodical audits on the database to ensure accuracy
  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
  • Monitors renewal of contract, work passes and statutory registration and oversees exit and clearance when staff departs from service

HR Administration

  • Provides day-to-day benefits administration services, e.g. e-claim for hourly payment to temp staff
  • Leave administration including tracking of non-vacation leave, e.g. compassionate leave, no-pay leave etc
  • Supports staff welfare e.g. order flowers and cards for employees
  • Provides secretarial support for staff retreat and meeting including room reservations, orders lunch and minutes taking etc 

The Senior Executive (HR) assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the HR Lead. 


  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or Organisation Development
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in HR positions
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR work
  • Strong sense of responsibility, good service awareness and communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual who is meticulous and organised
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in the middle of stressful situations
  • Able to start immediately will be an advantage
