Job Description

The Office of Admissions (OAM) oversees full-time undergraduate admissions, scholarships and financial aid. Reporting to the Provost’s Office, OAM develops and implements policies and operations related to undergraduate admissions and award and administration of scholarships and financial aid, and markets the university’s undergraduate programmes. 
As Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Outreach & Talent Management), Office of Admissions, the role will support the Outreach team in marketing NUS undergraduate programmes, through different types of communication including verbal, written and visual, to meet the strategic undergraduate recruitment objectives of the University.

Duties & Responsibilities 

The incumbent is responsible for, but are not limited to, the following:
1.    Outreach
•    Serve as liaison between NUS and high schools (local & international) on outreach matters.
•    Work closely with NUS faculties in planning and organising flagship university-wide outreach events such as the OAM Open House, Talent Management Outreach and Admissions & Faculties Sharing series.

2.    Digital & Print Media
•    Manage OAM digital platforms (e.g. website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) ensuring that information on all platforms are updated and relevant.
•    Plan and organise outreach campaigns, advertisements and OAM publications ensuring that messaging is clear and impactful.

3.    Student Ambassador (SA) Programme
•    Plan and conduct trainings to value-add to the SAs’ skill sets.
•    Manage the SAs ensuring that they report on time for outreach duties and conduct themselves professionally.
•    Manage the LiveChat platform, be familiar with its features and guide the SAs in using the platform effectively.

4.    Environment Scanning
•    Collect and analyse data and trends in the Singapore and international education systems, and provide regular updates for OAM to devise adaptive outreach plan for the University.

5.    Any other work assigned by the reporting officer


•    A recognised University degree, with some working experience in the higher education industry, preferably in the areas of administration, digital marketing, will be beneficial
•    Able to work independently and cohesively in a team
•    Strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills; a demonstrated flair for writing would be advantageous
•    Excellent time and organisational skills; able to perform under pressure 
•    Accurate and has attention to details
•    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with a good working knowledge of HTML, design and photo-editing software will be an advantage
