Job Description

The Integrated Women’s Health Programme (IWHP) for the first time examines, in a holistic manner, key health issues affecting the wonderful Singaporean women as they mature. Led by a Prof Yong EL, an award-winning clinician-scientist, the team includes top academics from NUS, University of Pittsburgh USA; McGill University Canada; and Uppsala University Sweden. The IWHP team is well-funded and has published extensively and performed randomized control trials on women-specific concerns, disease identification and prevention. Motivated individuals who wants to be part of this unique effort to pioneer innovative investigations and interventions for women are invited to apply for the post of Specialist Associate.


The incumbent will assist the IWHP team to:

- Liaising with research participants for scheduling and recruitment.

- Perform study protocol procedures.

- Maintain records in compliance with the institution’s regulatory requirements.

- Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research administration including maintaining source documentation of each patient according to protocol and records of the research activities, including procurement (i.e. petty cash, subject recruitment, dropouts and follow-ups, purchasing of items, goods and services).

- Assist the reporting officer in ethical board (DSRB) applications, responses, and compliance reports.

- Assist the team to further the overall research programme as directed by the Research Office.

- May be part of publications, if desired.


  • Diploma holder in science-related field, healthcare, nursing or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience as a clinical research coordinator / research nurse.
  • Relevant experience in a research setting is a plus.
  • Good understanding of SGGCP, familiarity with research-based principles.
  • Possess strong work ethic.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Strong in administration skills and enjoys doing administrative work.
  • Ability to speak in other languages and common dialects will be an added advantage to cater to the differing demographics of patients' profiles recruited for the research study.
  • Able to interact well with patients and clinicians.
  • Able to work meticulously, independently and as a team player.
  • Computer efficiency is essential- MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, MS Teams
