Job Description
The Associate Director for Campus Learning Innovation and Digital Integration is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the transformation of learning environments and driving the integration of innovative digital solutions. This role encompasses strategic planning, leadership, and collaboration across multiple functions to enhance educational experiences, streamline administrative processes, and ensure that the school’s digital ecosystem aligns with university policies, guidelines, and frameworks. The position also involves championing the integration of new technologies and driving innovation to improve both academic and administrative effectiveness.
1. Digital Integration and Innovation
- Lead and champion the strategic integration of innovative digital solutions to enhance workflows, automate routine tasks, and drive efficiencies across academic, research, and administrative functions.
- Develop and implement digital transformation initiatives that align with the school’s vision and the broader strategic goals of the university, focusing on enhancing educational outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Establish and lead the development of metrics, benchmarks, and performance indicators to evaluate the success and impact of digital initiatives, utilising data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
2. Campus Learning Innovation
- Strategise and lead efforts to transform formal and informal learning spaces, collaborating with academic staff and students to create engaging and technology-enhanced environments.
- Spearhead change management processes to support the integration of classroom technology, ensuring seamless adoption by faculty and students.
- Oversee and lead the identification of pain points in classroom support and gather feedback from users to continuously improve systems and processes related to teaching technologies.
3. Compliance and Policy Alignment
- Lead the development and implementation of school-level policies and frameworks in alignment with university-wide IT policies, ensuring adherence to guidelines and best practices.
- Provide strategic oversight to ensure that the school’s digital initiatives are in compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the school in university-wide audits, ensuring that digital systems and initiatives meet audit and compliance requirements.
4. Inventory and Asset Management
- Lead the strategic management of technology assets, ensuring efficient utilisation and compliance with university guidelines and frameworks.
- Champion the development of systems for monitoring and managing technology assets, ensuring effective lifecycle management and alignment with broader institutional goals.
5. Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Planning
- Strategise and lead the development of the school’s business impact analysis and business continuity plans, ensuring that the school’s operations are resilient and prepared for unforeseen disruptions.
- Oversee the review and approval of business continuity plans, ensuring alignment with institutional strategies and best practices.
6. Digital Dexterity and Capability Building
- Lead the development of programmes aimed at enhancing the digital capabilities of the school’s staff, ensuring that the workforce is equipped to support and leverage new technologies.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to drive initiatives that elevate the digital competency of faculty and staff, ensuring that the school remains at the forefront of technological advancements in education.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience in leading digital integration and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with policy development and compliance in higher education.
- Knowledge of digital solutions and educational technologies.
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
