Manager/Assistant Senior Manager (Alumni Relations and Outreach)

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Outreach and Partnership, this position is responsible for building, developing and leveraging the LKYSPP global alumni community, in support of the School's student, academic and partnership needs. The role is part strategic, part community building, and part marketing. Relationship management, stakeholder management and cultivation of our alumni community will be central to the role. The Manager/Assistant Senior Manager also serves as a liaison to the alumni community, drives engagement and enriches the experience of the community by integrating alumni across the School's many touchpoints. 

Job Description

Relationship Management and Alumni Programming (60%)
•    Develop, implement, and manage alumni engagement strategies and outreach programmes focused on increasing the depth of relationships among alumni and between alumni and the School 
•    Develop, sustain, and strengthen alumni chapters which focus on establishing and maintaining connections with the School and NUS
•    Plan, coordinate, and attend alumni events, meetings, or other related activities. This may include representing the School at alumni and other relevant events in Singapore and overseas
•    Coordinate with NUS Office of Alumni Relations to support and facilitate alumni engagement campaigns and activities at the university level

Content Marketing and Communications (30%)
•    Develop, collect and track information, content and stories of notable alumni, and enable alumni activities that produce meaningful impact to be communicated
•    Define, implement, and continuously improve processes and a tool set which enhances communication with the alumni community
•    Build new community channels, integrate alumni into live and virtual programmes and services, and enrich the overall experience of our community members

Data Collection and Analytics (10%)
•    Grow, track and measure alumni loyalty and affective ties to the School
•    Build partnerships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to develop alumni engagement opportunities

Qualifications

•    A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in communications, marketing or business management
•    Bilingual abilities with professional command of a second language preferred.  
•    Strong command of English is a must. 
•    Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of participants in the program, verbally and in writing.
•    Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
•    Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to work with diverse constituents and audiences.
•    Ability to work in a team-based environment and learn new skills as the work environment and customer needs change.
•    Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
•    Ability to solve problems and use professional judgment and discretion.
•    Proven ability to focus on accuracy and provide attention to detail.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels; excellent interpersonal skills.
•    Exceptional customer service skills, including phone/email etiquette, with the ability to diffuse tension and maintain a positive demeanour in all situations.
•    Ability to use of social media as a tool to engage and market services/programs to students, alumni, faculty/staff, and employers
