Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join the Institute for Governance & Leadership. This position is a key role in shaping the success of the institute’s mission and objectives.
The Senior Manager will support the development and delivery of leadership and governance initiatives, drive business development, manage strategic partnerships, and oversee programme planning and execution. The role also leads outreach to strengthen the institute’s presence locally and internationally, ensuring programmes are well-run, responsive to emerging needs, and aligned with the broader goals of the School.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
Identify and cultivate partnerships, sponsorships, and funding opportunities to support the institute’s growth and long-term sustainability. This includes engagement with government agencies, industry partners, and philanthropic organisations.
2. Programme Management
Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of training programmes and collaborative projects, including budget management, resource coordination, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
3. Content Development
Support the development of content for leadership and governance programmes, ensuring relevance to sector trends and best practices.
4. Outreach
Lead outreach efforts to promote the institute’s programmes locally and internationally, and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the public policy and leadership ecosystem.
5. Strategic Partnerships
Build and sustain strategic partnerships with government bodies, international organisations, academic institutions, and industry leaders to strengthen the institute’s reach, credibility, and resource base.
6. Evaluation and Impact Assessment
Develop methods to assess programme outcomes and impact, applying data-driven insights to enhance programme design and delivery.
7. Marketing and Branding
Collaborate with the School’s marketing team to implement strategies that elevate the institute’s visibility and attract participants and partners.
8. Reporting and Accountability
Prepare regular progress updates and reports for key stakeholders, ensuring transparency, strong governance, and alignment with institutional objectives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in business development, content management, outreach, and program management.
• A deep understanding of public policy and leadership development.
• Strong experience in developing and managing partnerships.
• Excellent project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
