Job Title:  Assistant Manager/Manager, Facilities Management

NUS-ISS is seeking a resourceful and hands-on Assistant Manager/ Manager in Facilities Management. The incumbent will be responsible for the technical management of our building oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, ensures statutory compliance and manage on-site service providers to ensure a safe, functional and well-maintained environment for all stakeholders.

Job Description

  • Manage daily facilities activities and ensure efficient functioning of building systems to support business operations.
  • Evaluate and manage contractors and service providers to ensure compliance to contractual obligations and service standards.
  • Supervise contractors in performing preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring high-quality workmanship
  • Assist in budgetary planning and controls.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes for goods and services in accordance with corporate purchasing policies.
  • Plan and manage activities relating to maintenance, repair and upkeep of building’s facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections with team and contractors to identify follow-ups and ensure timely response to feedback and requests.
  • Maintain accurate data documentation and records of repair and maintenance activities and approvals to comply with ISO requirements.
  • Enforce WSH practices, conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Serve as an in-house Fire Safety Manager and taking lead in all fire safety activities.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned to ensure facilities operational readiness.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/ Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline with minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in facilities management.
  • Strong proficiency in building systems including AACMV, BMS, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and lift systems, etc. and in managing soft services.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory building requirements, safety procedures and regulations and risk management.
  • Resourceful and technically competent in identifying and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Willingness to perform hands-on tasks when necessary to ensure business operational readiness.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the team.
  • Flexibility to work on Saturdays and evenings in exigencies of service.
