Job Description
Reporting to the Team Lead, Academic Affairs, the incumbent will be part of the Academic Affairs Office at NUS College.
The incumbent will provide comprehensive administrative, operational, analytical, and stakeholder management support to facilitate the effective administration of academic programmes, student academic matters, and key academic initiatives within the College. The role will also support data management, reporting, policy implementation, and process improvement to ensure efficient and high-quality academic operations.
Through close collaboration with faculty members, students, and central University offices, the incumbent will contribute to the delivery of NUS College's distinctive undergraduate education by ensuring that academic processes are administered effectively, consistently, and in compliance with University policies, regulations, and governance requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Academic Administration and Course Support
• Support in managing academic administration matters – including course registration, pre-allocation, course appeals, academic advisement, graduation checks and other student-related processes.
• Support the use of academic systems and manage academic-related enquiries from students, faculty members and stakeholders.
Academic Data, Reporting and Analysis
• Prepare and maintain academic data, reports and dashboards to support academic review processes, provide timely data insights, and improve reporting processes through dashboards, automation or productivity tools.
• Assist with course enrolment, course planning, curriculum checks and preparation of data for academic review and decision-making.
Programme and Project Administration
• Coordinate academic initiatives and student-facing programmes such as summer research attachment.
• Provide administrate and logistical support for College-level events/projects, such as Open House, Commencement and Academic fair sessions.
• Support review, documentation and improvement of academic administrative workflows, guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Undertake any other academic, administrative or project-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• A recognised University degree with at least 6 years of working experience (preferred if in a similar role).
• Meticulous, analytical, organised, resourceful, independent and enjoy challenges, with ability to manage large volumes of data and multiple deadlines.
• Good interpersonal, written and communication skills
• Mature and adaptive and able to interact well with all levels of stakeholders
• Must be a team player with the ability to build a collaborative working relationship with people at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with PowerBI, dashboards or data analytic tools will be an advantage.
