Job Description
You will be part of the NUS College administrative team to provide dedicated support to manage and maintain our IT systems, ensuring seamless operations across hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot technical issues, implement system upgrades (when needed), and provide responsive support to staff, enabling a smooth and secure digital environment.
You will be working closely with your reporting manager and all units within the College and NUS to provide the necessary support required and will be the main point of contact for all IT support requests. You will also be involved in providing infrastructure support.
Duties and Responsibilities
(a) You will be our first line of contact for all IT support requests and will be responsible for the following,
- Provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, laptops and peripherals.
- Monitor system performance and ensure uptime and reliability.
- Liaise with vendors for warranty, services and maintenance
- Procure the required IT and AV assets and peripherals
- Manage all IT (and AV) asset inventory
(b) Work closely with NUS IT to address the IT needs of the College.
(c) Conduct IT and AV orientation sessions to familiarise teaching staff with the latest NUS tools for each semester.
(d) Support events at the College with the required IT and AV needs.
(e) Support facilities and infrastructure projects.
(f) Work with the other administrative teams in the college on cross-functional projects when required (this includes the AUS and NUSC Summer School presently).
(g) Any other relevant duties as assigned by the Head of Administration.
Qualifications
• A degree with about 2 years of proven experience in IT support. Candidates without the relevant experience are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, macOS etc), networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Meticulous, analytical, resourceful, independent and enjoy challenges.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills with a positive work attitude
• Good interpersonal and written skills.
• Mature, adaptive and able to interact well with all levels of stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with different timelines and demands
• Must be a team player with the ability to build collaborative working relationships with people at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
