Job Description

NUS College is the honours college of NUS and conducts the outreach and admissions process in collaboration and partnership with the Office of Admissions, partner faculties, and other partners in NUS. The incumbent will play a crucial role in the admissions process, such as the coordination of interviews and assessments, responding to admissions-related queries, and reaching out to candidates on pre- and post-acceptance procedures. He/she will also support in selected outreach efforts. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Assist in coordinating interviews and assessments for more than a thousand applicants; this includes, but is not limited to, working with interviewers and candidates and helping with scheduling requests, organising the set-up of the holding area for in-person interviews, being on-site to manage any unexpected events during interviews, setting up zoom links for online interviews, working with interviewers and readers to ensure that their scores are submitted in a timely manner
•    Assist in coordinating with the Office of Admissions and other institutions in NUS on admissions matters
•    Keep track of admissions decisions made for applicants and on admissions postings made by the Office of Admissions 
•    Follow-up with applicants on post-acceptance procedures, in particular to contact candidates to make sure they register for housing
•    Provide administrative support for scholarship selection
•    Provide administrative support for admissions to specific programmes
•    Assist in answering queries in the mailbox
•    Procurement of catering and supplies 
•    Other duties as assigned, including working with other administrative teams in NUS College on cross-functional and shared duties
 

Qualifications

•    University degree
•    Organised and meticulous with attention to detail 
•    Display tact and discretion in handling admissions information
•    IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications
•    Proficiency in English language
•    Has strong commitment to service delivery and able to multi-task and maintain calm under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
•    Responsible and aware of the key role played in the admissions process, ability to adhere to timelines for the admissions process 
•    A good team player with excellent communication skills
