As BLOCK71 grows its regional footprint and startup reach, engaging our community—online and offline—is more important than ever. We're looking for a Community & Engagement Manager who will focus on amplifying founder voices, showcasing programme impact, and driving participation through digital storytelling and on-ground outreach

You’ll be part of the Community Team, supporting engagement through dynamic content creation, strategic outreach, and creative communications that bring our brand and programmes to life. This role blends digital fluency with a deep understanding of community dynamics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement & Storytelling: Collaborate with startups, mentors, and alumni to spotlight founder journeys, programme highlights, and key ecosystem narratives. Develop authentic content that resonates with founders, students, and partners.
  • Social & Digital Outreach: Run BLOCK71’s digital channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, EDMs) and design campaign strategies for event recruitment, startup features, and brand positioning. Keep the tone grounded, community-centric, and reflective of startup energy.
  • Visual Content Creation: Design digital collaterals, event posters, and content visuals using Canva or similar tools. Ensure materials are aligned with BLOCK71’s evolving brand identity and platform-specific best practices.
  • On-ground Activation: Support physical community engagement through event branding, founder outreach, and centre-level visibility across LaunchPad, THE HANGAR, and Science Park.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse content performance, community engagement metrics, and feedback loops to guide iterative improvements.
  • Collaborative Campaigns: Work closely with the rest of the Community & Incubation teams to execute campaign needs tied to programme launches, demo days, exhibitions, and regional ecosystem events.
  • Industry Insights: Keep a pulse on startup and innovation trends, and help the Group shape content, campaigns, and formats that anticipate and meet founder needs.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in community engagement, digital communications, or programme support—ideally in startup, tech, or creative environments.
  • Strong writing and content design skills; familiarity with Canva, social tools, and newsletter platforms.
  • Keen eye for visual storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Able to balance creativity with execution—meeting deadlines while staying flexible.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, thrives in fast-paced environments, and deeply aligned with the values of community-building and entrepreneurship.
