NUSX is the Innovation & Entrepreneurial arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS). The Ecosystem Building team operates one of the most extensive startup ecosystems in the world, leveraging NUS' research and innovation capabilities together with market connectivity through our regional and global nodes.

The CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre, established in collaboration with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), brings together industry, academia, cybersecurity professionals, investors and government stakeholders to strengthen Singapore's cybersecurity ecosystem.

We are looking for an experienced Venture Manager / Senior Venture Manager to join our Innovation and Growth team. The role will focus on identifying and supporting promising cybersecurity ventures, helping them gain market traction, access customers and capital, and expand into international markets.

In this role, you will:

• Identify and build a pipeline of Singapore cybersecurity startups and SMEs, and assess their business, technology and growth potential.
• Support ventures in securing opportunities, including introductions to potential customers, pilots, PoCs, partnerships and other pathways to market.
• Drive growth efforts, including internationalisation, identifying suitable overseas markets and opportunities and helping Singapore cybersecurity ventures gain exposure to customers, partners, investors and ecosystem networks abroad.
• Curate and support overseas market access, including industry missions, major cybersecurity conferences and exhibitions, investor engagements and targeted business-matching opportunities.
• Support ventures across different stages of development, including companies graduating from CyberBoost and other TIG programmes, providing continuity beyond individual programmes and helping high-potential companies progress towards their next commercial or funding milestones.
• Build strong relationships with CISOs, enterprises, Singgov agencies and other end-users to better understand market needs and create opportunities for promising cybersecurity solutions.
• Work with investors, venture capital firms and the wider NUS Enterprise ecosystem to improve ventures' access to suitable sources of capital.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of venture-development initiatives, including CyberBoost where relevant, while ensuring that programmes remain driven by venture and market needs rather than programme delivery.
• Track the development and outcomes of supported ventures, including commercial traction, partnerships, funding, overseas expansion and other relevant growth indicators.
• Work collaboratively across the TIG Centre's Talent, Innovation and Growth functions, and with NUS Enterprise, CSA and external partners, to advance the Centre's broader mission of building a strong and sustainable cybersecurity ecosystem in Singapore.

Qualifications

• At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in venture development, business development, technology commercialisation, startup ecosystem development, investment, corporate innovation or related roles.
• Demonstrated experience working with startups and technology companies, preferably in helping companies develop customers, partnerships, investment opportunities or new markets.
• Strong business-development and relationship-building capabilities, with the ability to engage credibly with founders, senior industry executives, investors and public-sector stakeholders.
• Experience in international business development, market access or supporting companies' overseas expansion would be a strong advantage.
• Existing networks within the Singapore and/or international technology, startup, investment or cybersecurity ecosystems would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of technology businesses and commercialisation.
• Experience in cybersecurity or the broader digital/deep-tech sector would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Sound judgement and the ability to balance the needs of individual ventures and programmes with the broader objectives of the Centre.
• Collaborative and comfortable working across teams, with the ability to build consensus and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Driven, resourceful and entrepreneurial, with a strong sense of ownership and ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong project-management and organisational skills, with a disciplined approach to tracking venture progress and outcomes.
