Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and team-oriented individual who is comfortable interacting with students and committed to supporting their mental well-being and personal growth. The successful candidate will be contributing to the following key areas:
- Training and Workshops: collaborate with the team to curate, develop and conduct training sessions and workshops targeted at graduate students and thesis advisors
- Mental well-being support: assist in implementing a mental well-being support & management framework that includes both preventative and reactive models of care. Provide supportive interactions with students to address their mental well-being needs.
- Partnerships: Work with relevant NUS stakeholders
- Business Partnering & Support: Attend monthly Student Support Managers (SSM) meetings and ultimately be point-of-contact for SSMs across faculties/departments, providing consultancy and support to departments, and leading case discussions.
- NUSGS Student Life and Wellbeing initiatives:
- Support the team in providing administrative, operational support and creation of publicity material for the initiatives, programmes and events (e.g. focus group discussions, workshops, seminars and induction program)
- Support the team in content creation for various programmes that provides holistic repertoire of skills and experience to equip graduate students and support thesis advisors.
- Actively engage, contribute, and cooperate with team members to ensure the smooth execution of all activities.
Qualifications
- High proficiency in project management and organisational skills.
- Experience in coordinating workshops/seminars/events.
- Strong writing skills, IT skills and creativity to create content and publicity materials for events, workshops etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable interacting with students
- Experience in digital marketing and content development would be advantageous.
- A BSc in psychology, counselling or social work from an accredited institution is preferred, but not compulsory
