About the Role

 

To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Lifelong Education & Training (LET) Unit.

 

Reporting to the Associate Director, the incumbent shall assist in a wide range of administrative and technical duties to ensure efficiency and effectiveness on the unit’s L&D management, development and compliance.

 

This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis in the first instance, with the prospect of a regular open employment contract thereafter subject to satisfactory job performance during the first 3 years. 

 

Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus subject to the incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies. 

 

The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 


•    Plan & strategize with the Associate Director to analyze data on the competencies required and gaps identified the Quality Management and learning design team for the training needs analysis based on current and future business requirements
•    Oversee and manage the end to end course application process –  training plan, delivery methods, training providers, feedback and analysing data to measure effectiveness of learning outcomes
•    Collaborate with the Enterprise team to ensure proper utilization of training budgets and grant schemes for SSG funded in the different sectors
•    Administer quality measures to ensure course proposals meet NUS’s CET strategy and an advantageous integration into the CET landscape
•    Monitor training placements and strategies to curate optimum visibility in the CET space for NUS offerings
•    Prepare reports and presentations as required for submission to Management, Government funding agencies, etc.
•    Establish partnerships with schools and CET units to explore non-funded offerings
•    Manage the team compliance with Information and Data Management requirements
•    Build strong protocols to ensure a timely and efficient course processing model 
•    Coordinate with the Systems Management team on course automation projects
•    Participate in continuous improvement projects to ramp up productivity and operational efficiency

Requirements 

 

•    At least a bachelor’s degree in education, learning/training & development, instructional design or disciplines related to adult education
•    IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications
•    ACTA, ACLP and/or any adult education/higher education certificates an added advantage


Experience & Attributes 

•    At least 5 years of related working experience with an education or training services settings
•    Strong acumen in process management 
•    Strong business acumen and training needs analytics insights
•    Understanding of Singapore CET related roadmaps/frameworks for emerging skills and job transformation
•    Understanding of SSG training and funding related policies and procedures preferred
•    Experience in CET course development and learning design an added advantage
•    Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude
•    Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work
