About the Role


To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Lifelong Education & Training (LET) Unit.


Reporting to the Associate Director (LET), the incumbent assists in a wide range of data management that need to be managed in an effective and efficient manner to support the dataset development and academic management systems projects owned by the unit.


This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis in the first instance, with the prospect of a regular open employment contract thereafter subject to satisfactory job performance during the first 3 years. 


Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus subject to the incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies. 


The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.


Key Duties & Responsibilities 
•    Manage and maintain datasets across the university from a range of sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness for reports (ranging from monthly to annually)  and dashboards
•    Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders within and beyond LET to understand data needs and deliver solutions
•    Analyse in user requirements for the project developments and manage dashboards used within the university
•    Partner with the Systems Management team to provide enhancements and support for systems requirements like dashboards and automating process systems
•    Translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations for the university 
•    Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency
•    Preparation of data sets and reports for monthly and ad-hoc reporting 
•    Smooth conduct of all audit processes which include quarterly, grant certification notes and post-course quality courseware audit
•    Manage compliance paperwork such as curation of audit processes and administer ad-hoc audits as directed by management
•    Perform any other tasks assigned by the unit to support the organisational needs



Academic & Professional Certification
•    At least a good bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputable university
•    IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications 
•    Knowledge of Power BI would be an added advantage


Experience & Attributes 

•    At least 5 years’ relevant work experience 
•    Experience in preparing datasets for reporting preferred
•    Able to present and coach system users an added advantage
•    Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude
•    Excellent coordination and organization skills, with a customer-centric mindset
•    Strong project management and organizational skills
•    Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment
