Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals. All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.
About the Role
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our SCALE-Global unit as Temporary Business Development Assistant.
Reporting to the Associate Director, the incumbent assists in a wide range of administrative duties that need to be executed in an effective and efficient manner to support the smooth functioning of the unit.
This role is offered on a six-month, fixed-term contract basis.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Administrative support for planning and management of short courses, including preparing teaching engagement contracts, client contracts, programme schedules and info packs.
• Follow up with internal stakeholders, such as faculty members and operations team on course details including interim changes in a timely manner.
• Assist in the delivery of short courses.
• Support organic marketing and outreach activities for short courses, such as crafting of social media posts, flyers and email communications.
• Assist in other ad hoc projects, assigned by supervisor/HOD.
Requirements:
Academic & Professional Certification
• Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience & Attributes
• Fresh graduates are welcome; prior events/conference management experience would be a plus.
• Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude.
• IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with graphic design software and platforms is an advantage.
• Excellent coordination and organization skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
• Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment
