About the Role
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a Contingent Staff at Senior Executive job level who will support both our classroom programme delivery and online programme delivery.
Reporting to the Operations Head, the successful candidate will need to have strong problem-solving, communications and project management skills. He or she will demonstrate curiosity, creativity, collaboration and the ability to work in VUCA environment. The successful candidate must be service-oriented, able to think on the go and adapt accordingly to ensure successful and smooth programme delivery for our youth or adult participants.
This role is offered on a 2- year fixed-term contract basis.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support activities relating to programme delivery in both classroom and online setting
• Ensure smooth programme delivery by engaging relevant stakeholders with a service-oriented mindset
• Assist Operations Head in managing a team of contingent staff to support the activities of the business unit
• Maintain the operations database and conduct periodic update to refresh the database
• Maintain the teaching facilities and conduct periodic checks to ensure the teaching facilities are ready for programme delivery
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as required for submission to Management, etc.
• Assist in establishment and continuous improvement of work processes and policies
• Build strong, positive relationships with internal stakeholders such as Business Development, IT & eLearning teams, as well as the various schools and faculties across NUS
• Support institution-building projects that play a critical role in helping SCALE deliver our mission in a sustainable and scalable manner
Qualifications
Academic & Professional Certification
• A good Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputable university
• Strong English proficiency, both written and spoken, is essential
• Tech Savvy and proficient in MS Office, possess basic data analytics skills.
Experience & Attributes
• Possess the passion and drive to be part of a mission to transform the way higher education is delivered
• At least two to three years of programme operations (both classroom and online) experience, with proven track record in a fast-paced environment and multiple stakeholder management experience
• Exposure to international executive education or programmes for a pre-university audience. Prior experience in an institute of higher learning would be an added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, strong team player, sensitive to different cultures and environments
• A strong desire to win, with the ability to work fast and smart independently
• A keen willingness to continually develop personal and professional skills
• Possess a “can-do” attitude, intellectually curious, highly collaborative and comfortable to work in a flat, “all hands-on-deck” environment
• Strong project management ability and a keen eye for details to drive multiple programme delivery and manage stakeholders in diverse settings
• Ability to think on one’s feet, manage and respond to negative situations and problems in a timely and effective way
• Ability to independently source and collate quotations to support programme delivery specifications, from gathering data, to tabulate the data and recommend the appropriate items to Business Development Team
• Exemplary ambassador of NUS and SCALE and its mission and programmes
• Comfortable with ambiguity and a self-starter – we are a fast-growing business; there will always be unchartered territories and pushing of boundaries – which is part of the fun!
