Job Description

The successful candidate will contribute to the achievement of the University's mission by providing efficient and effective administration of its educational programmes. Based in the Dean's Office, Faculty of Science, the incumbent will play an instrumental role to provide strategic support across a student’s lifecycle to the various Master’s programmes hosted by departments.

 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following –

 

• Offer Faculty-level support, across the key elements of programme management including marketing and admission, career services, student life, alumni relations and others, to the Faculty’s self-financing Master’s programmes such as MSc in Data Science and Machine Learning, MSc in Mathematics, MSc in Quantitative Finance, MSc in Statistics etc.

• Implement and manage a student relationship system that is responsive, reliable and effective in servicing the growing student population in the Faculty’s Master’s programmes.

• Manage and execute marketing activities through various platforms, including social media, to boost the Faculty’s presence both locally and regionally.

• Coordinate, plan and manage student-related activities, including but not limited to, orientation, career talks, workshops/seminars, and alumni events at the Faculty level.

• Act as the key industry liaison officer for students’ career advancement in the related areas.

• Build strong rapport with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

• Lead or complete ad-hoc projects and/or assignments.

Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info

• Degree (preferably a postgraduate degree) holder with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience

• Prior career knowledge in financial industry and quantitative finance will be a plus

• Mature, meticulous and possess a high level of discretion and integrity

• Strong customer relations management experience

• Event management experience

• Resourceful team player, yet able to work independently and displays initiative

• Creative in providing ideas and solutions and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiar with the use of digital media platforms as channels of communication.

 

- Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies. 

- The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
